St. Joseph Festival – Save the Date
The diocese is excited to announce an evening of fun for the whole family to celebrate our patron, St. Joseph the Worker, during the year of St. Joseph proclaimed by Pope Francis. The celebration will be held Friday, October 29 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center. Save the date. More details to come!
Going Deeper Retreats
Going Deeper now has an adult track! This retreat in perfect for adults who are wanting to dive into their faith and learn how to get involved in ministry. In the upcoming retreat, they will learn the important skills of discernment and prayer. How do you hear the voice of God? Come and find out! The Examen Retreat will be held this fall, October 8-10, at St. Mary Parish, Dell Rapids. Registrations can be found on our Going Deeper webpage.

The diocese will no longer be able to offer lector workbooks for sale at a discounted rate. If you are in the Sioux Falls area, you can order them at the Mustard Seed Catholic Store in Sioux Falls to save on shipping fees. (Please reach out to Linda at 605-271-4055.) You can also order directly from the publisher.

Power Hour has a new date and time! Join us Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet with other parish catechetical leaders (PCL) from around our diocese, to grow in both spiritual and professional development, and to have a space to bounce ideas off one another and inspire and encourage one another in your shared mission. If you are new or newly diving into our offerings, we invite you to join the PCL email list and join our new PCL community platform ComeFollow.Me. If you are not already receiving these PCL emails, you can sign up on the diocesan For Youth Leaders webpage.
Lumen Christi
We are in full swing accepting reservations for our year-round Lumen Christi team of missionaries. Invite our team of 2-3 missionaries to come to your parish this coming year (September 2021 – May 2022) to host an event or just be present in your community. Catholic Family Sharing Appeal
Thank you to all for your wonderful support of the 2021 Catholic Family Sharing Appeal. Parishioners have responded with great generosity toward the many ministries supported by the appeal. To date, we have received 13,107 pledges totaling $4,731,000. Over two thirds of the parishes have raised over and above the amount shared with the diocese providing an additional $789,000 to stay in the respective parish and be used where the need is greatest.
If you have remaining pledges to send in, please do so as soon as possible as we prepare for follow-up.
Thank you again for your support as the success of the Catholic Family Sharing Appeal is dependent upon the great efforts of those at all of the parishes throughout the diocese.
