2021 Summer Missionary
My name is Matthew Giorgio. I’m 19 years old, and I grew up in Elk Point, SD. I just finished my first year of college at the University of Saint Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I joined the seminary at SJV for the spring semester. I am currently majoring in philosophy and math, as well as minoring in Catholic Studies.
I did Totus Tuus last summer during the pandemic, and I experienced a lot of growth and freedom through the daily prayer and the opportunities to serve others. I wanted to do Lumen Christi because I wanted to continue growing deeper with Jesus in prayer, and wanted to experience the friendships that are grown over the summer.
Matthew served parishes across the diocese as the leader on team St. Kateri Tekakwitha & Bl. Solanus Casey with Sterling Hillmer, Macy Hajek, and Allison Kluver.
