2021 Summer Missionary
My name is Macy Hajek. I am from Tyndall, SD. I am 20 years old and graduated from Bon Homme in 2019. I studied nursing at Morningside University for two years, but am putting my education on pause as I am going to continue to be a Lumen Christi missionary in the year-round program.
I became a Lumen Christi missionary because I felt God calling me to dive deeper into living a life that reflected Him. This program allows me an opportunity to experience God’s love and the gift of community around me.
Macy served parishes across the diocese on team St. Kateri Tekakwitha & Bl. Solanus Casey with Matthew Giorgio, Allison Kluver, and Sterling Hillmer.
