Hundreds of Catholic families and friends from around eastern South Dakota will gather for carnival games, yard games, dancing, inflatables, bingo, crafts, carnival food and good old-fashioned fun to celebrate Pope Francis naming this year the year of St. Joseph who is the patron of our diocese.
This is a Free Will Donation event, and there will be concessions available for purchase.

What is there to see and do?
- There will be something for all ages and maps of all the activities will be available at the welcome table.

What should we bring to the event?
- Cash for BINGO cards (25cents per card)
- Cash/Card for Concession stands and Beer Garden
Is there Food?
- There will be concession open for food purchase. Some of the items for purchase include pulled pork, pizza, popcorn, chips, cotton candy, pop, water
How does the Bingo work?
- Come and play for 25 cents per card and kids can play for free. If you bring you family to play you can get a card for your whole family for $1. Kids get a ticket if they win to go pick out a prize at the Prize Booth and adults will win the cash pot!
How does the Ping Pong Tournament work?
- There will be two rounds, one starting at 6:30pm and the other at 7:30pm. You can pre-register on the diocese website or signup at the event. The winners will get a grand prize from our Prize Booth!
How does the Corn Hole Tournament work?
- There will be two rounds, one starting at 6:30pm and the other at 7:30pm. You can pre-register your team on the diocese website or signup at the event. The winners will get a grand prize from our Prize Booth!
Year of St. Joseph Diocesan Parish Pilgrimage:
When you visit each parish, take a selfie including you with the church or church sign in the background. Come to the Festival and show us your pictures to receive a certificate of completion of the Year of St. Joseph diocesan parish pilgrimage. Each certificate holder will be entered in a drawing to win a prize. (If you do this as a family, be sure to include everyone in the selfie and each member of the family will receive their own certificate and chance to win.)
