Since publication of the March issue of The Bishop’s Bulletin, the Most Reverend Paul J. Swain, Bishop of Sioux Falls:
assigned Reverend Jonathan Venner, JCL, from graduate studies to priest in-residence at Holy Family, Mitchell and to defender of the bond in the Diocesan Tribunal;
and decreed the Deconsecration of the St. Michael Church building, Mount Vernon, so that it might be relegated to profane but non-sordid use;
extended the faculty to remit an automatic penalty of excommunication in the instance of a second procured abortion to all priests entrusted with the full pagaella of faculties.
