April is National Child Abuse Prevention month.
To assure the safety of all children in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, last year 98% of adults volunteering or employed by a diocesan or parish organization completed the safe environment program.
Thirteen-thousand-eight hundred (13,800) children enrolled in a Catholic school and/or religious education program also completed an age-appropriate program.
Since the August 2016 launch of the CMG Connect training/tracking platform, 4,000 adults have created a secure, online account to complete safe environments requirements.
