The diocese has received a report alleging Catholic Relief Services has been improperly cooperating with or facilitating programming in conflict with Church teaching on grave matter, a report seemingly corroborated by a moral theologian of good reputation. Given this, the diocese will be undertaking its own review. While the review is underway, the Diocese of Sioux Falls will “pause” its customary annual donation sent as part of the Catholic Family Sharing Appeal. Rice bowls collected during the Lenten season by each parish will continue.
