Jesus Christ, King of the Universe – Sunday TV Mass

Are you thirsting for more in this life? Are the things of this world not satisfying the longings of your heart? The Samaritan woman at the well longed for more, too. This past weekend in his homily, Bishop DeGrood reflected on Jesus’ thirst and desire to save souls. Bishop also encouraged us to be intentional and take time to be in the presence of the Lord, and allow him to fill you with his love.

On this Christ the King Sunday, Bishop talked about the power and strength of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. He encouraged us to allow Christ to be the King of our lives, and to not try to control things we can’t control. We’re reminded that freedom lies in acknowledging we have a King who loves us, and that Jesus is not a king who wants to control us. Rather, Jesus wants to lead us to the eternal banquet in heaven.
