Frequently Asked Questions

I purchased a ticket online, but I didn’t receive a ticket. What should I do?
It’s ok! There are no printed tickets for this event. When you purchased your seat online, you registered for the conference. All you have to do is provide your name when you arrive to check in at the conference.
What should I wear?
The dress code is casual, but please keep in mind that it is often chilly in the Convention Center. We recommend bringing a sweater or jacket.
Can I choose who I sit by?
Absolutely! You can purchase a Reserved Table for you and your friends (seats 8), or you can purchase an Individual Seat and sit at any open seat in the General Admission section. These seats are available first-come, first-served the day of the conference.
Can I save seats for my friends?
If you would like to guarantee that you are able to sit with your friends, we encourage you to purchase a Reserved Table (seats 8). Seats in General Admission are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ushers will seat guests at any seat that is not occupied. We can’t guarantee that you will be able to save seats for others who have not yet arrived.
I bought a reserved table, but I’m having trouble filling it. Can you fill my extra seats?
Unfortunately, we are not able to sell individual seats at a Reserved Table. If you have tried everyone you can think of, ask the Father which of his daughters He wants you to invite. He may surprise you.
Is there childcare?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer childcare. It is our hope that this day will be an opportunity for you to step away from the craziness of life and simply rest and enjoy time with other women.
Can I bring my baby?
Absolutely! There will be a Mother’s Room for nursing, napping, and diaper changes.
Can I bring my daughter?
Yes! This conference is designed for adult women, but mature high school girls are welcome to come at parental discretion.
Can I bring my non-Catholic friends?
Absolutely! Certain elements of the day will be distinctly Catholic, such as Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and Confession, but all are welcome. If your friend wants to come, this is a great opportunity to share with her the beauty of our Catholic faith. Our Sacraments can be intimidating for some who have never experienced them before so we encourage you to guide your friend and be open to any questions she may have.
Can men come?
This is an opportunity for women to come together and celebrate who the Father created them to be as women. If men would like to participate in the day they are welcome to volunteer. We have many opportunities to serve. Contact us at discipleship@sfcatholic.org for more info.
Can I volunteer?
Our desire is to create an opportunity for women, who do so much to serve their families, churches, and communities, to rest and receive the Father's love. Our desire is for you to leave refreshed and renewed, reminded of who you are and whose you are. We have gathered a group of amazing men whose hearts burn to serve you. For one day you don’t have to worry about the details. Just come and be served.
How can I get involved?
The best way for you to get involved is to help us bring this movement to your families, to your friends, and to your parish. We are a small team based in Sioux Falls, but our desire is to bring life to ALL the women of our diocese. If the Lord is stirring your heart to get involved, please pray about who He is asking you to invite. Get a group together and come. Pray for each other as you prepare. Love on each other while you are here. Walk with each other as you go forth.
Is lunch provided?
Yes! A delicious lunch will be provided. There will also be a social hour to end the day. Light appetizers will be provided and a cash bar will be available.
Are there accommodations for people with food allergies?
Yes! When you register, the form will ask if you have dietary restrictions. Please let us know what you need, and we will do our best to accommodate you. If we are not able to, we will contact you to work something out.
Can I bring my own food/snacks?
The Convention Center has a strict policy against bringing in food. Please help us respect their policy by refraining from bringing food or snacks. Lunch and late afternoon appetizers will be provided. If you need to bring specific foods or snacks for medical reasons, please indicate that when the registration form asks if you have dietary restrictions. We will work with the Convention Center to accommodate your needs.
Can I come late? / Do I have to stay the whole day?
We strongly encourage you to participate in the entire day. Each element has been designed with beauty and purpose. If that is just not possible, you are welcome to participate in as much of the day as you are able.
Do I need to bring anything?
We have tried to anticipate your needs throughout the day and provide for them. The only thing you may want to bring is a journal and a little spending money. There will be opportunities to do some shopping, and there will also be a cash bar at the Social Hour that ends the day.
Do I need to bring cash?
If you are planning on doing a little shopping at the vendor booths, you may want to bring cash. Each vendor collects their own payments. While many are able to accept card payments, some may only accept cash.
Can I get a discount?
Unfortunately, there are no discounts. Your registration costs pay for the speakers, the meals, the venue, and other production costs.
Are there any scholarships?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer scholarships at this time. If you are looking for assistance to be able to attend, we encourage you to talk to your parish. Many have scholarship funds or fundraising opportunities. Your local Knights of Columbus or Catholic Daughters may also be able to help.
Can I get a refund?
If you find yourself unable to come, you can receive a refund through the Eventbrite system up to 30 days before the event. If it is 30 days or less before the event, we are unable to refund your registration costs. You will have been included in the final counts and your spot will have already been paid for.
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Yes! If you are unable to attend and would like to gift your spot to someone else, please let us know who will be taking your place. We will need her full name, email, and phone number. You can reach us at discipleship@sfcatholic.org.
