| Apostolic administrator named for
the diocese |

Pope John Paul II has named Most Rev.
Samuel Aquila, bishop of Fargo, as the Apostolic Administrator
for the Diocese of Sioux Falls. He will serve in this position
in addition to his current position as Bishop of Fargo.
Bishop Aquila will serve as the administrator until a new bishop
is appointed, a process that can take several months.
