Bishop Carlson announces priest appointments for diocese
Most Reverend Robert J. Carlson has made the following clergy assignments effective July 1, 2004:

Rev. Donald Imming, from pastor of St. Agnes Parish, Vermillion to retirement.

Rev. Rod Farke, from pastor of St. Benedict Parish, Yankton to pastor of St. Agnes Parish, Vermillion.

Rev. Ken Bain, from pastor of St. Michael Parish, Clark and St. James Parish, Willow Lake to pastor of St. Benedict Parish, Yankton.

Rev. Paul Pathiyamoola, from associate pastor of St. Michael Parish, Sioux Falls to pastor of St. Dominic Parish, Canton, St. Edward Parish, Worthing and St. Magdalen Parish, Lennox.

Rev. Christopher Hughes, from administrator to pastor of All Saints Parish, Mellette and St. Ann Parish, Frankfort. In addition, to serve as pastor of St. Mary Parish, Zell, folowing the closing of Sacred Heart Parish, Chelsea.

Rev. Cathal Gallagher, continuing as canonical administrator of St. Thomas Parish, DeSmet and St. Paul Parish, Iroquois and also as canonical administrator of St. John Parish, Arlington.

Rev. Michael Schneider, continuing as pastor of St. Agatha Parish, Howard and Epiphany Parish, Canova and also as pastor of St. William Parish, Ramona.

Rev. Mark Axtmann, from associate pastor of Christ the King Parish, Sioux Falls and chaplain at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls to pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Gettysburg and pastor of St. Pius X, Onida.

Rev. Charles Cimpl, from pastor of St. Therese Parish, Sioux Falls to pastor of St. Michael Parish, Sioux Falls.

Rev. Thomas Fitzpatrick, following ordination to associate pastor of St. Michael Parish, Sioux Falls.

Rev. Justin Wachs, following ordination to associate pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, Sioux Falls.
Rev. Terry Anderson, from pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Aberdeen to rector of St. Joseph Cathedral Parish, Sioux Falls.

Rev. Hal Barber, from pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Pierre to pastor of St. Therese Parish, Sioux Falls.

Rev. Darrell Lamberty, from pastor of St. William Parish, Ramona, St. John Parish, Arlington and St. Catherine Parish, Oldham, to pastor of Christ the King Parish, Webster and Immaculate Conception Parish, Waubay.

Rev. James Morgan, while continuing as director of Aquinas Newman Center, Aberdeen, from associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Aberdeen to pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Westport.

Rev. Anthony Imberi, while continuing as pastor of St. Joseph the Workman Parish, Huntimer as pastor of St. Rose of Lima Parish, Garretson.

Rev. James Mason, while continuing as diocesan vocations director, from pastor of St. Rose of Lima, Garretson to diocesan director of retreat ministries, Broom Tree Farm Retreat Center.

Msgr. Marvin McPhee, from vicar general to Episcopal vicar for seminarian formation at the diocesan house of formation, Denver, CO.

Rev. Scott Traynor, from director of Pius XII Newman Center, Brookings and pastor of St. Paul, White to diocesan tribunal and formation director for the diocesan house of formation, Denver, CO.
