The Diocese of Sioux Falls awards a $1,000 college scholarship in each of the deaneries to enable a student to attend either Mount Marty College in Yankton or Presentation College in Aberdeen.
The scholarships are available to new students, students already in college and non-traditional students interested in attending or already attending Mount Marty College and Presentation Colleges.
This year’s recipients, their home parish and the college they have chosen are listed below.

Aberdeen-Mobridge Deanery:
Samantha Ochsner - Sacred Heart, Aberdeen, Presentation College

Madison-Brookings Deanery:
Samantha Miles - St. Patrick, Montrose, Mount Marty College

Milbank-Groton Deanery:
Katie Schneider - St. Peter, Sisseton, Presentation College

Mitchell Deanery:
Erin Day - Holy Family, Mitchell, Presentation College

Pierre-Huron Deanery:
Melissa Cumbee – Holy Trinity, Huron, Mount Marty College

Sioux Falls Deanery:
Katee DeBates – St. Mary, Sioux Falls, Mount Marty College
Justin Siemonsma – St. Mary, Dell Rapids, Mount Marty College

Yankton Deanery:
Julia Matthys – St. Joseph, Elk Point, Mount Marty College
