If there is someone who has been abused by a person who works for the Catholic church, Bishop Carlson asks you to contact the diocese for assistance. Please call Sister Mary Carole Curran, Ph.D., victim response coordinator at (605)-988-3775 or Bishop Carlson at (605) 334-9861. If you prefer, you can call chancellor Jerome Klein or vice-chancellor Nancy Werner at the same telephone number. The diocese takes its responsibility seriously. Sexual abuse by anyone - priests included - runs counter to everything Jesus stands for and is certainly most reprehensible. The diocese has a sexual abuse and sexual harassment policy which applies to all who minister for the church.
