Grieving the Loss of a Child
March 4 - April 8, 2008
This program is for adults who have lost a child and are trying to understand and
reconcile their grief. The Program is designed to be educational and will offer
positive suggestions to help people survive and learn to live fully again.
Grieving the Loss from Suicide
April 29 - June 3, 2008
This program is for families who have lost a loved one from suicide. The suddenness
of the death and the confusion and painful reactions will be significant parts of
the program. Education and experiential activities will focus on coping with this
loss.
When a Child/Teen Grieves a Loss
June 24 - July 15, 2008 (4 week series)
This program is designed for children and teens who have experienced the loss of
a loved one. In age related groups the children and teens will have an opportunity
to share their grief experiences and learn that they are not alone in their feelings.
Expression of feelings with art activities, videos and stories will be part of the
program.
Grieving the Loss of a Spouse
August 5 - September 9, 2008
This program is for adults who have lost a spouse and are trying to cope with the
pain of separation and loss. Role change and loneliness are secondary losses which
can complicate the grieving process. The program will offer assistance in coping
with this change and making healthy readjustments.
Grieving the Loss of a Parent
September 30 - November 4, 2008
This program is for adults who are grieving the loss of a parent. The death of a
parent can impact one's life in a significant way. The program provides both educational
and experiential activities with a focus on coping responses and re-adjustment
to the loss.
Grieving a Loss during the Holidays
November 18 - December 30, 2008
This program is for adults who have lost loved ones and are grieving during the
holiday season. The program is designed to be educational and will offer positive
suggestions to help people with the adjustments that must be made during this holiday
season.
