High School Students – College Ready

Diocese of Sioux Falls 2015 High School Students Score High on ACT

Please review our success shown in the 2015 ACT scores.  We are proud of the achievement of our students, however, as important as academic success is, we believe our courses of study are not only academic pursuits, but a search for Truth.  We believe the purpose of education is not only for personal gain and the development of society, but for the transformation of the world.

During the 2014-2015 school year we had 242 Catholic High School students in our diocese who took the college admissions and placement test known as the ACT, and they out-performed other students taking the test in South Dakota.

The three Catholic High Schools in the Diocese of Sioux Falls are: Aberdeen Catholic School System’s Roncalli High School, St. Mary High School – Dell Rapids and O’Gorman High School – Sioux Falls.  Last year’s combined enrollment in grades 9-12 was 925 students.

Our schools strive to prepare our young people for college and work.  We have established high expectations and a rigorous traditional curriculum by adhering to educational best practices of what students need to know for college and the workplace. We know that it is important to guide our students as they prepare for the future.
