Sioux Falls Catholic Schools has named Kyle Groos its new president.

The decision followed a lengthy search, interviews with Bishop Paul Swain, Sioux Falls pastors, SFCS board members, faculty, administrators and area business owners.

Groos is the long time O’Gorman High School principal and will take over after president Robert Wehde retires later this spring.

Groos has been at O’Gorman since 2003 and will officially begin his new role July 1.

“I am blessed, honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead Sioux Falls Catholic Schools. I look forward to working with many outstanding individuals who are dedicated to our mission and vision. I love everything that SFCS stands for and what we have been able to accomplish as a system since 1991,” says Groos.
