Cathedral Arts Series has two more concerts to share

The Cathedral Arts Series will host two more performances in the 2017-2018 season.

Up next will be the Cathedral Choir featured for the concert , on Wednesday, May 2 at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, Sioux Falls.

The “Founder’s Concert” that night will be held at 7 p.m.

The Cathedral Choir’s “Founders’ Concert” each May commemorates the construction of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, as well as the feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, patron of the Cathedral.

The 2017-2018 season closes with a second performance by vocal ensemble Transept, under the direction of Dr. Timothy Campbell.

Transept – “Radiant as the Sun: The music of Monteverdi, Schütz, and Purcell“ will be featured Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. In this concert, Transept will be joined by an instrumental ensemble for the glorious late Renaissance/early Baroque music of Monteverdi, Schütz and Purcell.

Tickets are available for both performances at www.sfcatholic.org/SAS or at the door the night of the performance.
