"...responsible citizenship is a virtue, and participation in political life is a moral obligation..."

The Catholic Advocate Network ("CAN") is the grassroots public policy initiative of the Diocese of Sioux Falls. Many dioceses belong to a state Catholic Conference that conducts the public policy activities for the member dioceses in that state.  In the absence of a Catholic Conference in South Dakota, CAN was created to educate, inform, alert, and hopefully inspire the faithful of the diocese to answer the call to be a faithful citizen.

The faithful of East River South Dakota and beyond are invited to join in prayer on June 23, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Sioux Falls.  Bishop Paul J. Swain will preside at the event and during Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will lead those in attendance in the praying of the Rosary followed by Benediction.
