DRE Day 2011

Sacred Art in Catechesis and the New Evangelization

May 13, 2011

Holy Spirit Parish Hall

3601 E. Dudley Lane, Sioux Falls South Dakota

This summer St. Joseph's Cathedral will be reopened, and Bishop Swain's expressed desire is that our Cathedral will act as a means of evangelization and catechesis and be a place of prayer and pilgrimage for Eastern South Dakota.

DRE Day this spring will focus on the use of sacred art in catechesis and the New Evangelization, with St. Joseph Cathedral and each parish setting in mind. Our keynote presenter will be Sr. Johanna Paruch, FSGM, Professor of Catechetics at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Sr. Johanna will share will us both the importance of sacred art and how to use it in our parish catechetical programs.
